Lapwing
Lapwing is the bird that we monitor closely on site. We have created new habitats as well as improving existing habitats. Every year we carry out surveys to monitor the birds, the RSPB collate all this information to determine population and breeding levels throughout the country. Lapwings are black and white in appearance and its round winged shape makes the Lapwing quite distinctive as well as its crest. They also have a very distinctive call. They can usually be seen in the area during breeding season.
